Studies show that Ibuprofen can be toxic for arthritis patients

Based on a report in Asian Age, low-priced painkillers can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and high blood pressure in arthritis patients.

According to the research, cheap medicines may have harmful outcomes, and the results of the study are worrying for elderly, considering that arthritis and hypertension are more common among them.

According to the lead author of the study, Frank Ruschitzka, patients taking Ibuprofen had a 61% higher occurrence of hypertension.

The study says that all participants involved in the trials had an indication of or were at an increased risk of heart disease. Both Naproxen and Ibuprofen were found to increase blood pressure over a 4-month period.
