Based on a report in Asian Age, researchers found that stimulating the brain with magnetic fields can assist people to overcome anxiety disorder and phobias such as fear of heights or spiders.
Martin J Herrmann, from the Wurzburg University Hospital in Germany, said that Cognitive behavioral therapy is the best treatment option. Examiners from the University of Wurzburg have been looking for methods to enhance a patients’ response to cognitive behavioral therapy, by using the transcranial magnetic stimulation.
A positive effect was found in the study participants treated with this method.
