  • You must always have your own earphones. Do not share them, not even with family members.
  • If your earphones have a rubber or sponge cover, then change them at least once in a month.
  • Do not play music with loud sound. Keep it as low as possible.
  • Avoid earphones when you are traveling as you will increase the volume due to the disturbing noises around you and that proves harmful.
  • Give rest to your ears once every 15 minutes.
  • Follow the 60:60 rule. That means keeping the volume at 60 percent of the maximum volume and playing it for not more than 60 minutes at one go.

Device and technology improvements should make your life enjoyable and comfortable but not at the cost of your health. When you use them under the limit, you can absolutely get the best out of them.
